Tim Bather
Chairman

Our Chairman, Tim Bather, spent 15 years in industry with ICI, Allbright & Wilson and Hoechst AG, serving as Managing Director of Berger Traffic Markings, before training in financial services with Imperial Life of Canada.

Tim has accumulated 35 years' insurance broking experience dealing with general insurances, financial services and private medical insurance with Castle Sundborn, initially as Managing Director and subsequently as Chairman, overseeing considerable growth in that period.

All the while Tim has maintained a high personal level of service to clients, some of whom have been with the company since before1970. Tim enjoys watching Bath rugby and spends as much time as possible during summer vacations in Menorca.

Anthony Bather
Managing Director

On completion of his Accountancy and Business Studies at Oxford Brookes, Anthony joined Commercial Union where he achieved Chartered Insurance status. He joined Castle Sundborn in 1987 and soon accepted responsibility for the growing financial services side of the company.

Appointed Managing Director in 2001, with his now considerable experience and expertise, he has rapidly established the company as a leading player in the employee benefits markets.

Julie Curtis
Company Secretary

Julie has worked for Castle Sundborn for 20 years and runs the Compliance and HR functions of the business. In addition to her many duties, Julie also carries out voluntary work for local organisations.

Julie began her career as a graduate entrant at WH Smith, following completion of her HND in Business Studies at Oxford Brooks. She manages to juggle all the demands of her professional and volunteering life while bringing up two children, along with her husband John, a successful local business owner.

Paul Dening
Senior Financial Consultant

Paul joined us in 2006 and works for Castle Sundborn as a highly experienced financial consultant. He was previously employed for 18 years at National Mutual Life as their Broker Consultant.

Ed Parsons
Senior Financial Consultant

Ed has worked in the Financial Services industry for over twenty years, initially in the banking sector followed by a move to a large firm of regional accountants giving advice on all aspects of financial planning.

To enable his career to progress, he needed to join a company that enabled him to provide financial planning that was more client focused. Castle Sundborn was that company and he has been with us now for the past 6 years.

His other interests include coaching rugby for Under 9s and Under 13s – and also playing rugby, despite his advancing years!

Paul Davey
Senior Financial Consultant

Paul has over 19 years' experience within the financial services sector and qualifications that include the Financial Planning Certificate, Mortgage Advice CF6 and Sv1 qualification from the Chartered Institute of Insurance.

Based in Swindon, Paul has spent many years building a long and loyal relationship with his many clients. He not only deals with personal finances but also works with corporate clients and maintains close contact with local solicitors and accountants.

Simon Dickens
Senior Financial Consultant

Simon joined Castle Sundborn in December 2008. His earlier career had taken him to work for Zurich Financial Services as an Executive Consultant. He had previously studied for his HND in Business Studies at Oxford Brooks.

Unlike Portsmouth Football Club, who he supports, Simon is particularly good at Financial Planning.

Amy Constable
Client Services Manager

Amy joined Castle Sundborn Ltd in 2004. She started work as Anthony Bather's PA and then progressed to Client Services Manager and has recently completed her Financial Adviser qualification with a specific interest in Group Risk.

Her depth of experience means that she can generally get an answer to a situation before it becomes a problem!

Nicky Thomson
Financial Services Administrator

Nicky has recently joined us as a Financial Services Administrator working closely with our Managing Director. Having previously worked in both small and large organisations in a range of administrative and marketing roles, she possesses excellent planning and organisational skills.

Claire Russell
Client Services Administrator

Claire joined Castle Sundborn at the end of 2008 along with Simon Dickens to work as his PA in the financial services area of the business. Prior to her move to Castle Sundborn she worked in a number of different roles within large corporate companies and smaller businesses. Claire's main role is to support Simon's business activities but she is always on hand to help others if needed.

Of a weekend, whatever the weather, Claire can always be found shouting on the side of a football pitch supporting her boys' football teams and trying to understand the offside rule!

Emma Hubbard
Healthcare Account Executive

Emma joined Castle Sundborn in 2005, bringing her extensive experience of the health insurance industry to our team. This experience includes working for a large Insurance Broker for three years.

At Castle Sundborn she leads the company's healthcare team, advising and helping individuals, SMEs and large corporate clients to obtain the right health insurance policy at a competitive premium to match their specific demands and needs.

Victoria Geake
Healthcare Administrator

Victoria has been employed with Castle Sundborn since 1998 and has developed wide experience within the general insurance, financial services and healthcare side of our business, which is where she now works.

Her current role in Healthcare Administration means she is on-hand to provide practical support for our clients to help them meet their requirements for suitable healthcare protection and provision. At present, Victoria works in a part-time capacity due to the demands of her young family.

David Hubbard
Senior Commercial Account Executive

David joined our company in 2003, bringing with him a wealth of commercial insurance knowledge having worked in the industry for over 35 years, helping SME and corporate clients in the design, implementation and servicing of their insurance and risk management requirements.

David offers excellent customer service and has developed great loyalty among our clients, leading to a high level of satisfaction. Talking of loyalty, in his spare time, David supports Bristol City FC and attends all their matches.

Guy Cox
Senior Commercial Account Executive

Guy joined us in 2011 bringing with him 13 years of commercial broking expertise. As well as servicing his existing, longstanding and loyal customer base, he is focused on growing the commercial insurance side of the business providing sound risk management advice and commercial insurance solutions.

Gill Fullbrook
Commercial Account Executive

Gill joined the commercial insurance department of Castle Sundborn in 2009, dealing with existing business portfolios and prospective clients.

She has many years' experience of insurance company underwriting, corporate financial services administration and independent insurance broking.

Teresa Knox
Personal Lines Account Executive

Teresa joined us in July 2009 and brings more than nine years of personal lines experience and outstanding customer service skills with her. She has proved invaluable, providing further strength to our personal lines department.

Zoe Watkins
Personal Lines Account Executive

Zoe joined our company back in 2009 bringing with her over 15 years of experience in the Insurance Industry. Zoe offers excellent customer service skills and is our specialist in High Value Home Insurance. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym and going on Holiday.
